Alan Dix is the Director of 509 Arts and the man behind the wheel of My Last Car.
After a 30 year career as a theatre director, producer and cultural consultant, Alan set up 509 Arts, a company that works with public sector bodies and arts organisations to develop projects and programmes that in turn support artists to create new work. My Last Car represents a return to hands-on creative production for the company and combines Alan’s history of engagement with environmental issues and his track record of producing high-impact cultural events in local communities. Alan is a Board member of West Yorkshire Playhouse and Greenwich Theatre and Chair of the acclaimed public realm company Strange Cargo.
