Verve 12 presents an exclusive restaging of acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan’s Vertical Road, which explores human nature, rituals and the consequences of our actions. With a specially commissioned score by composer Nitin Sawhney, Vertical Road imagines the journey from gravity to grace, alongside an exhilerating programme of newly commissioned work by Lea Anderson, James Cousins, Milan Kozanek and Jordan Massarella.
Verve 12 is the postgraduate performance company of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
The performance will also be touring to Hull Truck Theatre, York Theatre Royal and the Alhambra in Bradford, and will return to the Riley Theatre on 4th July 2012 for one final performance. Vertical Road will go on to tour nationally – visit www.nscd.ac.uk/verve for further details.
