James will get the people of Scunthorpe on their bikes when he directs Cycle Song.
James Beale is the award-winning director of Proper Job Theatre Company. In the last year he has directed Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Upcoming projects include a new adaptation of The Great Gatsby and a modern reworking of Arabian Nights. James trained in Berlin, Italy and Russia before coming back to the UK to direct and teach his unique style of visual theatre. In 2005 he became director of Proper Job. The theatre company works with children, young people and adults from our poorest communities. James is also a selector for National Student Drama Festival.
