Kaite O’Reilly is the writer of LeanerFasterStronger, a darkly humorous play deliberating the key questions raised by Extraordinary Moves.
Kaite O’Reilly is an award-winning playwright, having been awarded the Peggy Ramsay Award for YARD, the Manchester Evening News Best Play of 2004 for Perfect, the 2009 International Susan Smith Blackburn Award for The Almond and the Seahorse, and the 201o Ted Hughes Award for New Works in Poetry for her version of Aeschylus’ Persians. Kaite has recently been awarded an Unlimited commission to create The ‘D’ Monologues, which will be produced by the National Theatre Wales before transferring to London as part of the official celebrations for the Olympic Games. Kaite is currently working on her first novel, with a bursary from Academi.
