Kiruna can change you in Extraordinary ways!
Kiruna Stamell was born in Australia, where she studied dance, theatre and film at the University of New South Wales. An audition for extra work in Moulin Rouge! led to Baz Lurhmann creating the role of La Petite Princess especially for her. This kickstarted a career in theatre and television that has included roles in Eastenders (as Sandra Fielding, the soap’s first short statured character), All the Small Things with Sarah Lancashire and in Cast Offs, the groundbreaking and darkly comic series that challenged preconceptions about living with a disability. Kiruna is currently working with Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Warwick Davies on Life’s Too Short for BBC 2, and is developing a documentary with the working title Kiruna’s Big Idea. She is currently touring the region in the bizarre and hilarious Extraordinary Pod.
