
Lara has a finger in lots of imove pies!
Lara Goodband is a freelance artist-curator. After graduating in art history from the University of York and Manchester University, Lara went on to take up her first post as Exhibitions Curator at York City Art Gallery. Lara moved to Scarborough in 2002, to develop a new exhibitions programme at Scarborough Art Gallery and to live by the sea. Since 2008, Lara has worked as a freelance art curator specialising in the development of exhibitions in partnership with artists. She has worked as an artists’ mentor and is a visiting lecturer at the education department of the University of Hull, Scarborough. Lara is project curator for Wingbeats, art curator for Extraordinary Moves and is now using her specialist knowledge and artistic talents to turn documentation and curation into art for Sea Swim.

Swooping on us this summer and the next, Wingbeats is about flying, birds, poetry, song, dance, art, performance and the stunning landscape of the East Yorkshire coastline....
