Matthew David Scott

Matthew is co-founder of Slung Low and co-writer of Mapping the City.

Matthew David Scott was born in Manchester and now lives in South Wales, where he teaches English at an inner-city comprehensive.  He has published two novels, Playing Mercy, which was listed for the EDS Dylan Thomas Prize and, more recently, The Ground Remembers. He has just finished his third novel.  Matthew has written for all of Slung Low’s shows to date and has worked on other drama projects with, amongst others, Sherman Cymru, National Theatre Wales, Dirty Protest and Development Lab.  He co-runs the literature and music night Balloon, has published short stories in a number of anthologies and has read at some of Britain’s most prestigious literary events; at least once with a singing bear.
