Jason’s art forms part of Extraordinary Moves
Jason Minsky was born in London in 1968. He studied 3D Design at Manchester Polytechnic and an MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art. His practice combines performance, photography, installation, design, crafts, events and interventions. The work is sourced from a range of references that clearly interest and intrigue him including advertising, product design, literature, music, television, sport and comedy. His interest in sports and passion for skills in all professions has led him to use these subjects as starting points in his work often subverting their rules to express ideas that interest him. In the last seven years Jason has made work involving Boxing, Skipping, Badminton, Cycling, Squash, Knur and Spell, Board Games, Formula One, Kung Fu, Sports Commentators, Football and Hopscotch. Jason has exhibited work both nationally and internationally and has work in private collections around the world.
