Drummonds Mill, Bradford

Between 29^th March and 16^th April 2011, The Mill – City of Dreams enjoyed a sell-out run and received glowing reviews in both local and national press.

The textile mills of Bradford still speak to and about the landscape that surrounds them. They are keepers of the history of the city and the stories, hopes and dreams of the many diverse communities who have made contemporary Bradford the place it is today.

Freedom Studios transformed Drummond’s Mill, Manningham, from an empty shadow of an industrial past into the venue for an innovative, involving and bittersweet production, that explored how the threads of millworkers’ lives have been woven into the fabric of the city and the region beyond.
