Tyman and Rushton created one of the video installations for The Moving Body in the City.
Emma Rushton and Derek Tyman are based in the North and have been working together collaboratively since 1997. Their recent work has focused on particular locations and events to examine notions of public/civic space and ideas of belonging, community, nationhood and place. Recent exhibitions include: Will Someone Stop You…? Arts, Den Bosch, The Netherlands (2007), Paulo Post Futurum, Museum of Breda, The Netherlands (2007) and Access Permitted (with Kwong Lee) Unit 2, London (2006). They have also completed a number of artist residencies, most recently at 1a Space, Hong Kong China (2007).
